RO 11 SENDS OFF 116 POLICE FOR BAYANIHAN AT TALAINGOD DAVAO DEL NORTE
Camp Quintin Merecido, Buhangin, Davao City- On Nov 26, 2020 at around 11:00 PCOL EDGAR ALAN O OKUBO, Deputy Regional Director for Operation, PRO 11 led the send-off ceremony for the one hundred sixteen (116) Bayanihan Troops at Davao Norte Police Provincial Office Parade Ground in Tagum City together with PCOL RANIE P HACUELA, Provincial Director, DNPPO.
PCOL OKUBO relayed the message of PBGEN FILMORE B ESCOBAL, RD, PRO 11 which states: “The 116 Bayanihan Troops are well prepared, organized and ready to perform on whatever tasks given to them, and the Filipino Bayanihan spirit is very much alive in the PNP, more so in PRO 11, the purpose of this endeavor is to bring the services to the people in the remotest areas and letting them feel that the government cares for their welfare by embracing the “Bayanihan” spirit.”
He further encouraged the R-PSB personnel/Bayanihan Troops to show their selfless and untiring obligation towards the people, as he expected the troops to reach out to make the people aware of the good plans and programs of the government and to let the people feel that the government is using all means and ways to reach them.
Further, he also reminded the troops of their mission to accomplish to end the insurgency problem and other criminal activities that is suppressing the development and affecting the peace and order situation in the countryside.
During the activity, Hon Edwin I Jubajib, Provincial Governor of Davao del Norte expressed his profound gratitude to the PRO 11 for the support given to the Province of Davao del Norte. He appreciated the active support of the PNP for the construction of IP houses at Sitio Tibucag, Barangay Dagohoy, Talaingod, Davao del Norte and promised to give his 100% support to all the programs and project of the PNP.
The activity ended with the ceremonial blessings of the troops by Rev Fr Rechie M. Omas-as, Parish Priest, New Christ the King Cathedral, Tagum City.
