RHQ – Police Regional Office 11 participated the Nationwide Launching of “BARANGAYANIHAN HELP AND FOOD BANK

Camp Sgt Quintin M Merecido, Buhangin, Davao City – On May 14, 2021, Police Regional Office 11 participated the Nationwide Launching of “BARANGAYANIHAN HELP AND FOOD BANK”’ spearheaded by PGEN GUILLERMO LORENZO T ELEAZAR, Chief, PNP at Camp BGen Rafael T Crame, Quezon City and live streamed via Zoom application.
This program aims to alleviate the challenges COVID-19 pandemic brings towards the populace through the valuable contributions and kind-hearted donations of basic necessities and prime commodities such as food, toiletries and personal and protective equipment from stakeholders to be given to its beneficiaries which includes the Indigenous People Communities.
PRO 11’s activity was led by PBGEN LORENZO B DETRAN JR, DRDA, PRO 11 together with the other members of the PRO 11 Command Group and Directorial Staff. It was also attended by Dr. Lee Dong Sul, Director and Owner of Brain Touch – WIDTC who is one of the partner-stakeholders in the said activity; and the beneficiaries from the Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representatives (IPMR) who were: IPMR Chieftain Bai Estella Hiraldo and and Datu Wilkins Son Briones of Brgy. Upper Licanan, Bunawan, Davao City and Chieftain Bai Vivian Asumbrado from IPMR Brgy Kasilak, Panabo, Davao del Norte.
It is through the initiative of the Philippine National Police that the ‘BARANGAYANIHAN HELP AND FOOD BANK’ secures the support of the public by strengthening the spirit of generosity and community building in the pursuit of peace, order and goodwill.
Hence, PRO 11 took this opportunity to thank Dr. Sul for his untiring support to Police Regional Office 11 and the Revitalized- Pulis sa Barangay of this PRO. Furthermore, this PRO is grateful to participate in this Barangayanihan and be an instrument to deliver help during this time of Pandemic by encouraging PNP members to contribute any basic needs and food which would be shared in the spirit of Bayanihan (Mutual cooperation for the public good) thru PNP’s Barangayanihan program.
