COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT re Parlor Games and Boodle Fight on Valentine’s Day
On February 14, 2022 at about 8:00AM, RPSB pesonnel of Sitio Dulyan, Barangay Palma Gil, Talaingod, Davao del Norte under the supervision of PLT ROLAND B RUBION, Team Leader and PMAJ JOSELITO L TAN, OIC, FC 1st DNPMFC, in coordination with PCAPT ELFREN N BARREDO, COP of Talaingod MPS, Team RPSB Dulyan initiated Parlor Games and Boodle Fight activity to the couples of Sitio Dulyan in line with the celebration of Valentines Day. Valentine’s Day is a global celebration that recognizes and celebrates the emotion of love. Valentine’s Day is celebrated on February 14th, and it honors the anniversary of the death of Saint Valentine, who is a Christian legend. Even though the people of this sitio have never heard of or celebrated the holiday known as Valentine’s Day, they continue to love and care for one another on a daily basis, unconditionally. This is why on Valentine’s Day, we held an activity that highlighted the beauty of loving and being loved, reliving the first meeting of the couples, in order for us to have a connection of the people in this area, as well as to establish a stronger community and contribute to the development of a happy society for all. The police have organized events such as parlor games and boodle fight, among other things. They have supported the people in rejoicing since they had never been a part of such a celebration in their lives before. Celebrating this kind of occasion isn’t just about the money; it’s about the memories, time, and energy. Happy Valentines Day! Spread love, not COVID!
Activity ended at about 12:00PM of the same date.
