Camp Sgt Quintin M Merecido, Davao City- Earlier today, personnel of Police Regional Office (PRO) 11 conducted formation and accounting for its Regional Reactionary Standby Support Force (RSSF) in response to the directive of PBGEN FILMORE B ESCOBAL, PRO 11 Regional Director, on the possible deployment of personnel in line with the recent volcanic explosion of Taal Volcano in the Province of Batangas.

PBGEN ESCOBAL informed the personnel of this PRO to be ready for possible augmentation in response to the calamity brought by the eruption of Taal Volcano
and to extend help in any means especially in the relief operations that the Local Government Units in the AOR would conduct.

The Taal volcano released ash plume reaching at around 10 to 18 kilometers yesterday, January 12, 2020. Consequently, with its recent activities PHIVOLCS raised Alert Level 4 over Taal which signals the imminent hazardous eruption; and further indicates possible occurrence of tsunami.

In line with this, PLTGEN ARCHIE FRANCISCO F GAMBOA, PNP OIC’s has already ordered the PNP units surrounding the area of Taal to be in full alert status. Also, thru the initiative of PLTGEN GAMBOA, the Philippine National Police (PNP) already sent six large trucks which helped in the evacuation of people around Taal Volcano.

Hence, with the catastrophe brought by the Taal Volcano eruption; PBGEN ESCOBAL together with the men and women of Police Regional Office is in full support to the activities of PNP and willing to extend our services to the victims of Taal Volcano eruption. We are one in prayers for the safety of the people in the province of Batangas and its surrounding provinces.
