Camp Sgt Quintin M Merecido, Davao City- PBGEN FILMORE B ESCOBAL, PRO 11 Regional Director, reiterated the importance of ideal Body Mass Index in relation to the pronouncement of PNP, OIC PLTGEN ARCHIE F GAMBOA that he would sign a directive denying policemen who were unable to meet the 18.5 to 24.9 BMI requirements, of the opportunity for schooling which is prerequisite to some of the positions or is needed for promotion.

It could be recalled that PBGEN ESCOBAL is persistent and aggressive in his campaign for PRO 11 personnel to engage in activities that promotes health and wellness.

For the past months, PBGEN ESCOBAL held the Basketball Tournament, Badminton Challenge, SWAT Competition and Paskuhan Fun Run wherein he repeatedly emphasized the importance of keeping oneself’s healthy and active in sports which is one way of obtaining ideal BMI.

With the aforementioned, PBGEN ESCOBAL assures PNP, OIC GAMBOA that he has the full support of PRO 11 in his intention of keeping the PNP personnel physically fit and healthy.
